Machine Builder – Novi, MI

Pay: $24–26/hour

Long term contract to hire position

Seeking an experienced Machine Builder/Toolmaker to assemble and install industrial equipment in a machine tool manufacturing environment. This role involves interpreting mechanical blueprints, laying out equipment locations, installing tooling and framing systems, and performing hands-on integration work on the shop floor. Candidates should be comfortable using machine shop equipment such as lathes, Bridgeport mills, and surface grinders, as well as a variety of hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal supervision, read layouts, snap/chalk lines, mount tooling according to specifications, and assist with equipment installation tasks such as fencing, cable trays, light screens, and sealer equipment. The position requires mechanical assembly skills, precision drilling/tapping, layout work, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining strong reliability and punctuality.
