The Machine Builder position will be responsible for various jobs throughout EDC, responsibilities from assembling mold components, mold assemblies, benching and finishing work, verifying order deliveries and shipments, inventory items and assembling large blow molding machines to small auxiliary machines that fit onto existing machines and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Will assist in assembling machined components from machine shop and benching components.
- Assembles simple mechanical assemblies as needed within the machine build area and small pieces of equipment.
- Will verify orders have been filled correctly by verifying incoming shipments against the original order and the accompanying bill of lading or invoice.
- Will sort incoming orders into appropriate storage location and kit parts for machine build team.
- Inventories materials on work floor and warehouse, and supplies workers with materials as needed, and performs other inventory duties, such as organizing inventory cage and completing inventory cycle counts.
- Safely operates forklift in both the warehouse and production areas. Loads, unloads, or stacks materials onto or off of pallets, skids by raising and lowering lifting device.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma / general education degree (GED) is required. Trade school, vocational education and minimum 6 months’ work experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience in industrial operations.
- Should have good communication skills; be detail-oriented, adaptable, cooperative and able to work as part of a team.
- Familiarity with computer software applications, such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management, i.e.: MS Word, Excel and Access.
