SUMMARY:

This individual performs a combination of electrical and mechanical tasks to construct high quality custom equipment for industrial machines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fits and assembles parts to assembly drawing specifications.
  • Performs basic electrical wiring using wiring diagrams, schematics and wire lists.  Install and wire electrical cabinets into new machine builds.  Connect machine to in-coming power.  Conduct functional tests to verify proper machine/ panel operation. 
  • Run and test equipment for proper function.
  • Perform final assembly inspection to ensure production specifications and standards are met.
  • Assist in Machine Shop and facilities maintenance or troubleshooting as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:   

  • Applicant must be capable of reading, interpreting & following schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be capable of safely using a variety of hand or power tools including a Digital Multi-meter and soldering iron.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, be a self-starter, work independently and as part of a team.  Accurately follow oral instructions and written policies and procedures in a time sensitive situation.
  • Problem-solving skills and mathematical skills required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Technical certification preferred.
  • Must have two years hands-on experience.
