Job Overview:

Position Summary

The Machine Assembler is responsible for assembling agricultural machinery and components by following mechanical drawings, schematics, and work instructions. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently using personal hand and power tools to meet production and quality standards.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble agricultural machines and subassemblies using blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Interpret mechanical drawings and follow assembly procedures accurately
  • Use hand tools and battery-powered tools safely and efficiently
  • Perform adjustments, fitting, fastening, and basic troubleshooting as needed
  • Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and proper function
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate issues or improvements to supervisors
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management to support production needs

Required Tools (Must Have Own Tools)

  • Socket wrench set
  • Screwdriver and pliers kit
  • Wire strippers
  • steel-toed boots
  • Battery-powered tools (including drill and grinder)

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in mechanical or machine assembly preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on assembly experience
  • Familiarity with agricultural equipment or industrial machinery a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Lift and move components weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Perform repetitive tasks involving bending, reaching, and manual dexterity

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing or production floor environment
  • Exposure to tools, machinery, and typical industrial noise levels
  • Adherence to all safety policies required
