Assemble industrial automated machines to engineering specifications
Read and interpret detailed mechanical and assembly drawings
Build and align frame assemblies, drive systems, motors, shafts, drums, rolls, and bearings
Install and adjust pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, brackets, and guarding
Perform operational testing, mechanical adjustments, and final verifications
Use hand tools and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, pi-tapes)
Safely move large components using forklifts and overhead cranes
Support shipping and receiving of completed machines as needed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Contribute ideas to improve build efficiency and assembly processes
Required
3+ years of experience as a Machine Builder, Industrial Assembler, or Automation Technician
Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical/engineering prints
Hands-on experience assembling complex industrial automated machinery
Proficiency with hand tools and precision measuring instruments
Experience operating forklifts and rigging with cranes
Willingness to work contract-to-hire and significant overtime
Preferred
5+ years of machine building or OEM assembly experience
Background in automation, capital equipment, or OEM manufacturing
Forklift and crane certifications
Trade school, technical degree, or equivalent hands-on experience
Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
Comfortable in a high-paced, production-driven environment
Flexible schedule and open to long hours and Saturdays
Takes pride in building machines “right the first time”
Team player who communicates well on the shop floor
Standing and walking for extended periods
Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional lifts up to 100 lbs (with assistance)
