Job Overview:

Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate 2- LTL Auditor is responsible for all outbound orders. This includes piece count and ensuring product is damage and infestation free as well as ensuring the lot and date codes are properly recorded.  Tasks include but are not limited to repetitive and moderately complex rework, product testing, block coding, and inspection processes. In general, the Shipping and Receiving Associate 2- LTL Auditor assures the quantity, quality, addressing and labeling of orders corresponds to customer specifications or other requirements.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform audits on select completed orders and verify that the product selected matches what was actually ordered
  • Apply appropriate labels to each pallet order according to customer and hazmat regulations
  • Once an audit is complete must then correct the errors discovered prior to the order being sent out
  • Contact the appropriate parties so error resolution can take place
  • Surface issues, which can pose risk to the company, to management’s attention
  • Audits products on pallets by starting on bottom of pallet and going from pallet to pick ticket
  • Ensures all small, crushable and loose products are properly repacked/repicked
  • Ensures address labels are correct by verifying against pick ticket
  • Ensures BOL is completed correctly
  • Understand, support and execute all work in the established procedures, methods and working requirements
  • Implements and maintains department policies and standards
  •  Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months-2 years of auditing experience
  • Experience in Freight/Pallet Auditing, Operations or Logistics
  • Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to either stand or sit for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stop
  • Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-50 lbs
  • Ability to sit and stand up to 20-70% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Must be comfortable working in a complex production machining and assembly environment
  • The working area is primarily in a manufacturing environment located around machines and heavy equipment such as a forklift or pallet operator
  • Operation of the machine requires working with, and coming into contact with, various materials and substances.
  • Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or safety vest
  • Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet or dry
  • Working hours may be extended and weekends may be required in order to meet manufacturing needs.
