Description

Principal Objective of Position:                                                                                                     

Plans, organizes, leads, and directs maintenance activities & systems to optimize equipment effectiveness and to maintain warehouse facilities. Ensure that maintenance personnel execute procedures, processes, work instructions, etc. in the manner prescribed, while operating in a team based environment.

  • Coaches and leads the maintenance workforce
  • Maintain all equipment and facilities necessary to perform work
  • Required utilization of computer systems, databases, data entry, record maintenance, electronic purchase order creation.
  • Diagnose problems, read prints or schematics, order parts and repair machinery with little supervision
  • Adhere to all safety procedures
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather
  • Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts, including evenings and weekends when required with little or no supervision
  • Acts as liaison with outside contractors
  • Work with wide variety of equipment
  • Perform electrical, painting, and/or carpentry repairs of fixtures and equipment on company premises

Qualifications


Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:                                                                                  

  • Must be a competent welder and torch operator.
  • Must be familiar with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components.
  • Able to disassemble, evaluate, repair and reassemble components back to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ability to use computers, printers and other associated equipment
  • Ability to complete transactions in Microsoft Dynamics AX (training available)


Work Environment:                                                                                                                          

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
