Position Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, code-compliant installations while ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure low voltage systems including fire alarms, security systems, CCTV, and access control.
Perform system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national codes.
Communicate with customers on-site to explain system functionality and address concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete jobs on schedule.
Qualifications
Experience with low voltage systems (fire alarm, security, or access control preferred)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and in team environments
Preferred Certifications
NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems)
PLT (Power Limited Technician)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts
Comfortable working in various environments (construction sites, outdoors, confined spaces)
