Position Summary

Our client is seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to install, service, and maintain fire alarm, intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance systems. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, code-compliant installations while ensuring customer satisfaction and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure low voltage systems including fire alarms, security systems, CCTV, and access control.

  • Perform system inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national codes.

  • Communicate with customers on-site to explain system functionality and address concerns.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.

  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete jobs on schedule.

Qualifications

  • Experience with low voltage systems (fire alarm, security, or access control preferred)

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to work independently and in team environments

Preferred Certifications

  • NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems)

  • PLT (Power Limited Technician)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or lifts

  • Comfortable working in various environments (construction sites, outdoors, confined spaces)
