We are seeking a dedicated Logistics Team Member to join our team.

In this vital role, you will support day-to-day shipping and receiving operations—preparing and coordinating shipments, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with production, warehousing, and transportation teams to keep materials moving efficiently from our plant to customers and distribution centers.

Shift Available: First shift 7:00am-3:30pm (flexible)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pick, pack, and label products for shipment according to customer orders, shipping schedules, and production requirements.
  • Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including labels, packing lists, bills of lading, and required compliance paperwork; double-check shipments for accuracy before they go out.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other material handling equipment to move goods to and from shipping and storage areas.
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, inspecting for accuracy, damage, or missing items and reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Store materials and finished goods in designated locations, stacked safely to prevent damage.
  • Record and update inventory levels in the company’s inventory management system.
  • Work with carriers and couriers to schedule pickups, track shipments, and follow up on delivery schedules for raw materials and finished product.
  • Follow shipping regulations and company policies, including hazardous materials handling when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records (logs, bills of lading, tracking numbers) and assist with reports on shipping activity and order status.
  • Keep shipping, receiving, and storage areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience and Training:

  • 3–5 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of shipping software, inventory management systems, and/or ERP software.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack).
  • Basic math and organizational skills to accurately track shipments, inventory, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of hazardous materials shipping regulations and experience with barcoding, RFID, or other tracking technology.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Continuously stand, use hands and fingers to handle objects, tools, and controls, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequently walk, communicate verbally, use a computer, follow work instructions, and verify quantities and dimensions against purchase orders.
  • Occasionally sit, bend, crouch, and reach; read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and mechanical drawings; and make decisions about product discrepancies or quality concerns.
  • Intermittently lift up to 50 pounds, climb or kneel, operate a stand-up forklift, and coordinate with Buyers or suppliers to resolve product concerns.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision to read paperwork, labels, and packing slips.
  • Work is performed in production areas that may be hot, cool, dusty, and moderately noisy. Steel-toe shoes and safety glasses are required.
