Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.
We are currently seeking a Logistics Supervisor located in Mineral Wells/Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the Logistics Manager. This individual will be responsible for supervising the Company’s logistics activities to ensure safety, quality, cost efficiency and on-time delivery, which include providing raw materials to the production manufacturing group, communicating with all departments, anticipating and preventing parts shortages or assembly line stoppage due to lack of component parts, and problem-solving planning.
Key responsibilities:
Monitors Logistics Activities by monitoring all activities related to safety, quality and internal logistics, including the preparation of records, implementation of procedures, by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures related to safety, quality and internal logistics; and by providing Management with reports regarding all internal logistics operations.
Supervises Logistics Operations by inspecting materials and products to ensure quality of delivered products to assembly; by maintaining inventory records; by ensuring logistics activities according to production schedules, while maintaining effective operations and cost factors; by assisting in the management of procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production; by enforcing operating procedures to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality; by assisting Management in reviewing production schedules and needs on a consistent basis to ensure maximum efficiency; by investigating production problems resulting from procedures, parts delivery issues, or other factors in a timely manner and revising schedules and procedures as necessary; by troubleshooting production problems in a timely manner; and by supervising all other logistics operations.
Supervises Staff by providing direction and delegating responsibilities to subordinate team members; by evaluating work performed by subordinate team members; by training team members when necessary; by providing subordinate team members with regular feedback; by conducting Performance Appraisals; and by contributing to employment decisions including promotions, salary adjustments and terminations.
