Job Overview:
**SUMMARY:
**
Develop a production control function that provides level schedules to the manufacturing areas. Develop visual systems to provide feedback on status to schedules. Work with customers and manufacturing areas to reduce variation in demand and in production to facilitate the reduction of safety stock. These functions will be accomplished working within the Autocam Production System (APS).
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**include but are not limited to:
Work with the Production Control Department, Continuous Improvement Coordinators, Product Managers, Product Coordinators, Purchasing and Shipping Departments to develop a robust production control system to support APS activities.
Develop systems to measure and evaluate effectiveness of production operations and of inventory reduction efforts.
Work with Shipping department team members to develop and document standardized work instructions.
Direct and coordinate 5S, Area Improvement Teams (AITS) and Continuous Improvement activities.
Manage recycling, crest, and chemistry area staff and their corresponding functions.
Support the Purchasing department with packaging and logistics functions.
Understand and follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
Support EMS compliance.
**EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Logistics and/or 3-5 years experience in Production Control.
·
Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications.
