The Value Stream Leader Supervisor (VSL) will perform a variety of leadership, technical, and business tasks in support of the Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, and Traffic functions for defensive weaponry parts owned by the U.S Government within a Raytheon Technology (RTX) Warehouse in Louisville, KY.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a bargaining unit of five (5) hourly Team Members by effectively and frequently communicating priorities and shifting priorities as needed.

  • Ensure products reach their destinations safely, securely, and on-time.

  • Lead a team to successfully meet program costs and scheduling requirements.

  • Manage information accrued from point of origin to delivery and orchestrate transportation to end customer.

  • Ensure certified shipments are completed in accordance with DFAR & Defense Transportation Regulations.

  • Prepare, stage, & verify domestic and international shipments, bill of landings, quantities, and part numbers for all outbound movement.

  • Measuring and reporting metrics for warehousing activities and employee’s performance.

  • Actively establish, lead, and participate in continuous improvement projects within RTX.

  • Follow and create processes with work instructions.

  • Disseminate and process DD1149’s and DD250’s into systematic records within SAP.

  • Report Gun movements to internal ATF Compliance.

  • Backfilling leadership for other Logistics VLS’s during times of Company Leave.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

  • 3+ years of Warehouse Management and Transportation experience

  • 2+ years of demonstrated leadership experience

  • Experience with shipping and packaging materials for both domestic and international transport

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior knowledge and experience with DOT and ITAR shipping regulations for dangerous goods.

  • Previous ITAR experience

  • US Customs Regulations Import and Export knowledge.

  • SAP ERP experience

  • Experience in 3PL Logistics

  • Demonstrate experience in managing government furnished material.

  • Inventory Control and material handling knowledge

  • Experience with material requirements and Dock/Receiving/Warehouse/Shipping areas.

  • DFAR & WAWF Process knowledgeable to resolve issues with DCMA and Customers.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple levels of management, industry, peers, a represented workforce or business.

  • Strong ability to communicate with internal & external customers.

  • Exhibit high standards of customer service.

  • Experience coordinating outbound shipping documentation for commercial and government shipments.

  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of computer systems, databases, and programs.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
