Pay: $23.00/hour

Contract to hire.

Position Overview

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing incoming materials, outbound shipments, freight scheduling, receiving documentation, and material flow throughout the facility. This role serves as a critical on-site point of contact between suppliers, carriers, Purchasing, Accounting, Engineering, Build teams, and other internal customers.The position combines logistics coordination with hands-on material handling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and comfortable working independently while coordinating across multiple functional areas in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate all incoming shipments by comparing supplier paperwork and physical materials against purchase orders, packing lists, and related records.
  • Resolve quantity, documentation, and shipment discrepancies in coordination with Purchasing and other internal teams.
  • Schedule LTL freight and small-parcel pickups and deliveries, including FedEx and UPS shipments.
  • Follow all customer and client shipping requirements, including routing, packaging, and documentation standards.
  • Coordinate with Logistics, Build, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and other functional teams to improve continuous material flow.
  • Engage Build teams and Engineers in Quality Control reviews for incoming shipments.
  • Provide timely communication regarding shipment status, tracking, delays, exceptions, insurance, and claims.
  • Route and maintain purchasing, receiving, and accounting documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Process problem invoices through the appropriate company platform and support the resolution of invoice discrepancies.
  • Initiate and track return processes, including documenting root-cause reason codes.
  • Develop and organize material storage areas in support of line-side and point-of-use stocking programs.
  • Deliver materials to job shelves and designated plant locations and perform material check-in activities.
  • Stage skids, bulk materials, and other components according to production and point-of-use requirements.
  • Safely load and unload machinery and equipment from trucks and trailers used by the company, customers, and suppliers.
  • Track and manage fleet vehicle sign-out at the assigned business unit location.
  • Maintain strong, professional relationships with internal and external customers, carriers, suppliers, vendors, and coworkers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes, reduce delays, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional business environment required.
  • Experience in logistics, material management, supply chain, manufacturing, shipping, receiving, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and navigate ERP, inventory, logistics, and other business systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve issues quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to accept direction and complete assigned tasks while working independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Ability to obtain company-required Hi-Lo/Forklift and Overhead Crane licenses while employed.
