Position Summary

The Product Support & Logistics Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainment and operational readiness of U.S. naval weapon systems and their associated support equipment. This position provides analytical, technical, and administrative support to achieve program life-cycle sustainment objectives. Supporting the Government Product Support Manager (PSM), the analyst conducts inventory analysis, logistics assessments, readiness evaluations, sustainment reporting, and supply coordination. The role focuses on planning and executing product support activities across the system life cycle, maintaining visibility of inventory posture, identifying sustainment risks, and monitoring logistics performance metrics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze U.S. inventory levels, inventory trends, and asset visibility reports. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure supply availability.
  • Support inventory budgeting, forecasting, replenishment planning activities.
  • Prepare inventory status reports, readiness assessments, and sustainment metrics.
  • Coordinate with NAVSUP, Warfare Centers, Intermediate Logistics Maintenance Facilities, contractors, and supporting logistics organizations.
  • Track DMSMS issues and support development of mitigation strategies.
  • Support development and maintenance of Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSPs).
  • Assess logistics impacts associated with engineering changes and configuration modifications.
  • Develop and maintain logistics dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
  • Support logistics reviews, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and program reviews.
  • Maintain logistics records, databases, action-item trackers, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with responses to government data calls and ad hoc information requests.
  • Support identification and assessment of logistics and sustainment risks affecting fleet readiness.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Program Management, or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience; OR
  • Associate degree and eight (8) years of relevant experience; OR
  • High school diploma and ten (10) years of relevant military, government, or contractor logistics experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, supply support, and readiness reporting.
  • Experience supporting logistics functions in a DoD setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power BI, and logistics reporting tools.
  • A current Secret US DoD security clearance.

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy or NAVSEA acquisition and sustainment programs.
  • Experience supporting missile systems, combat systems, or other naval weapon systems.
  • Familiarity with Product Support Management and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements.
  • Experience with DMSMS and sustainment risk management.
