NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is seeking a Local Truck Driver (Parts Driver) to join our Ring & Cylinder (R&C) Team. The Local Truck Driver is responsible for proper operation of fleet vehicles to deliver product to and from Millerbernd Manufacturing facilities/production cells in a courteous and timely manner.
Job Title: Local Truck Driver
Location: Winsted, MN
Salary Range: $25.50 – 30.00 per hour
(In compliance with Minnesota Pay Transparency Law, this range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, and other factors.)
Shift Schedule: 1st shift Monday – Thursday 5am – 3pm
Shift Differential: 1st shift – N/A
As a Local Truck Driver, you will:
- Fastens chain or binders to secure load on trailer during transit
- Loads or unloads, or assists in loading and unloading truck
- Services vehicles with oil, fuel, and radiator fluid to maintain good working order
- Inventories and inspects goods to be moved
- Wraps goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and secures load to trailer using straps
- Places vehicles, to the extent safe and feasible, at the locations required by shipper/receiver
- Maintains vehicle inspection log according to Millerbernd's policy
- Complies with federal drug and alcohol testing and training regulations as required
- May use crane, hoist, forklift or other material handling equipment to transport materials and product into and out of the work area as required
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with coworkers to promote a cooperative working climate conducive to maximum productivity, efficiency and effectiveness
Role Qualifications as a Local Delivery Driver:
- Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement, Class A preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Effective and appropriate oral and written communication skills, including legible handwriting in English
- Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications
- Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions within a set of guidelines
- Ability to read and understand required internal manufacturing paperwork
- Able to work under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or procedures
