In this role, a typical day will include:
Following and maintaining loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo, and rechecking their stability throughout trips
Inspecting trailers before and after loading, paying attention to the status of airlines and jack positions, and adjusting them as vital
Always adhering to traffic safety regulations, reporting unsafe vehicle or road conditions to the supervisor
Assisting in unloading cargo and maintaining product quality
Additional warehouse shipping and receiving responsibilities may include receiving goods, verifying items against the shipment record, etc.
Gathering, verifying, and packing items for shipment according to specifications and the applicable transportation method
Recording received and shipped items
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Travel Required: Up to 10%
Work Hours: Work hours: Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM CST – 11:30 PM CST

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
Must have a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A
Will need to have the ability to lift to 30 lbs, and stand for long periods
Must be able to operate multiple types of forklifts
