Now Hiring: Local CDL Class A Manual Flatbed Driver

Location: Lexington, SC 29072

Pay: $22–$28/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, depending on workload

Summer Schedule: Start times may be as early as 6:00 AM to beat the heat

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced CDL Class A Manual Flatbed Driver for a local driving position. This is a great opportunity for a task-oriented driver who is comfortable with physical work and making multiple local loads throughout the day.

Job Responsibilities:

Pick up oversized flatbed loads from customers and transport them to the yard

Shuttle 11–13 foot tires from Michelin to the company yard

Pick up tires, properly strap down loads, and transport them to the Watt & Stewart yard

Drop the trailer, remove straps, pick up another flatbed trailer, and repeat

Throw straps daily and potentially multiple times per day depending on workload

Sign off on each load and provide paperwork to the dispatcher

Average 8–10 loads per day

Occasionally make trips to Trenton or Anderson

Follow all safety procedures and maintain proper load securement

Qualifications:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License

Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience

Must be able to operate an 18-speed manual transmission

Comfortable with frequent load securement and removing/throwing straps

Task-oriented and dependable

Training:

New drivers will be paired with an experienced local driver for training

Training will include learning the local routes and procedures at Michelin

Dress Code:

Steel-toe boots required

Jeans and T-shirts are acceptable

No shorts

MVR Requirements:

Past 7 years must be free of:

Driving violations involving the consumption of illegal or intoxicating substances

Preventable rollover or fatality crashes

Past 3 years must be free of:

License suspensions involving drugs or alcohol, or records indicating disregard for public safety

Major preventable accidents

Two or more moving violations

Additional Requirements:

Drug Screen: Standard 10-panel drug screen; must pass

Background Check: 5-year background check required

No DUI convictions

No drug-related felony convictions
