Job Description

Job purpose

This position is responsible for making poly foam cushions, panels and covers for furniture manufacturing. 

Duties and responsibilities

1.    Record shipment data, such as weight, content, etc. for loading trucks or containers to ship product.

2.    Pack, seal, label goods to be shipped.

3.    Use lift trucks, tow trucks, dollies to move product from production to the shipping area and then onto trucks.

4.    Examines shipments for accuracy and damage

5.    Monitors shipping paperwork for accuracy and required signatures

6.    Creates shipping labels as needed to complete loads

7.    Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications           

Preferred

•    6 months warehouse or shipping experience.

Working conditions

This job operates in a warehouse/manufacturing environment and is not climate controlled.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; bend; stoop; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and lift up to 50 pounds.
