We are recruiting for an experienced LNG Port Engineer to join a well-established maritime operator in Jacksonville, Florida.

This is a key shoreside engineering position for someone who understands vessel machinery, marine maintenance, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day fleet operations.

LNG experience is highly preferred and will make you a priority candidate.

If you have spent years sailing as an engineer and are looking for an opportunity to bring that knowledge ashore while remaining heavily involved with vessel operations, this could be an excellent fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide technical and engineering support for assigned vessels

  • Oversee vessel maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programs

  • Work closely with vessel engineers, captains, vendors, shipyards, and operations leadership

  • Coordinate scheduled and emergency repairs

  • Assist with dry dock periods, major maintenance projects, and equipment upgrades

  • Monitor vessel machinery condition and reliability

  • Support parts procurement, vendors, contractors, and repair planning

  • Ensure engineering work meets company, regulatory, and safety requirements

  • Travel to vessels and work in the field as operational needs require

  • Help minimize vessel downtime and keep equipment operating safely and reliably

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong professional marine engineering background

  • Experience aboard commercial vessels, tugboats, ships, or similar marine equipment

  • LNG vessel or LNG propulsion experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, generators, pumps, electrical systems, hydraulics, and auxiliary machinery

  • Experience troubleshooting complex mechanical and engineering issues

  • Previous Chief Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Port Engineer, or similar experience is highly desirable

  • Ability to work directly with crews, vendors, shipyards, and management

  • Comfortable working both in an office environment and aboard vessels / in the field

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
