Line Service / Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Vintage Aircraft)
Lewis Aeronautical is a Part 91, on-demand flight operation supporting business as well as personal travel for a San Antonio based Energy Company. Flights will be conducted on a fleet of modern aircraft throughout the U.S. as well as International destinations.
We are seeking detail-oriented Aircraft Maintenance Technician committed to safety. The ideal candidate will exhibit a high level of confidentiality, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound judgement, team player, and ability to maintain flexibility with a varying schedule.
Our flight department is a fast-paced, challenging environment with an exciting mix of mission profiles.
Responsibilities
- This position maintains aircraft preparedness in regard to cleaning, fueling, and towing. Conducts thorough inspections, maintenance and repairs on various corporate aircraft models.
- Services aircraft fuel and oil tanks as directed by maintenance manager or flight crew.
- Tows aircraft in and out of the hangar.
- Connects ground support equipment for air conditioning, heating and power.
- Stands fire watch, with fire extinguisher readily available, when aircraft engine starts.
- Cleans floors in hanger.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and replacement of parts on the aircraft
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight inspections of aircraft to ensure dispatchability
- Maintains shop and hangar tools and equipment
- Ensures compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins
- Services aircraft for dispatch to include all aircraft systems and interior items
- Launches and recovers aircraft
- Maintains cleanliness of the interior and exterior of company aircraft

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 years related experience working in aircraft maintenance
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant license
- Must have knowledge of safety practices in handling highly combustible and explosive fuels
- Must be willing to travel to offsite locations 50% of the time
- Ability and willingness to travel multiple days to locations in South Texas on a moment’s notice
- Ability to react quickly and with good judgment in stressful situations
- Ability to obtain a Valid U.S Passport
- Right to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license
