Job Title: Line Captain

Location: Union, OH, 45377

Duration: 4 Months

Pay Rate: $22.00/Hr. - $24/Hr. on W2

Shift: Thursday-Sunday 1st shifts 8:00am-6:30pm|2nd shift 7:00pm-5:30am

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production quality meets specifications.
  • Communicate issues to supervisor and area manager.
  • Ensure the line is running efficiently.
  • Provide mentoring to leads and promote mentoring of staff.
  • Make work priority lists for personnel based on utilization of time/capabilities.
  • Coordinate the flow of products through the department.
  • Manage the quality, availability, and affordability of the product line.
  • Assign workers to line positions as per play sheet and rotate workers throughout the shift.
  • Manage all production line functions and resources to meet quality, cost, and schedule.
  • Ensure workers are performing duties according to the play sheet.
  • Communicate with supervisor to improve line performance.
  • Help admin perform changeover procedure.
  • Work on the line only to temporarily cover a position if required.

Qualifications

  • General Education.
  • Experience on manufacturing line.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail.

Technical Skills

Must Have:

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to perform data analysis and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
