Title: LIMS Solutions Lead - Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E) IT

Salary: $100,000 - $165,000
Schedule: Flexible schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The LIMS Solutions Lead - M&E IT Specialist supports the global M&E business and IT organizations, focusing on Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and related laboratory information systems. The position is responsible for providing subject matter expert level development, support, and enhancements to all laboratory related applications, ensuring stability, integrity, and efficient operation of M&E information systems across Olin.

LIMS Solutions Lead - M&E IT Essential Job Functions:

Develops, coordinates, and implements customizations to Olin’s SampleManager LIMS and related systems, including interfaces to systems such as SAP and laboratory instrument software
Designs, builds, and implements complex workflows and configurations in SampleManager LIMS
Serves as a key IT technical resource for large SampleManager LIMS deployment projects, upgrades, and systems support for global implementations
Configures and supports laboratory instrument integration with LIMS, including instrument software configuration and support
Partner with Quality and R&D business functional leads and SMEs to implement automated processes, reporting and analysis tools
Provides excellent customer service and feedback on the status of issues or requests
Ensures alignment to Olin’s architecture and security standards and supports audit and data privacy requests
Supports periodic refresh of laboratory instrument PCs, including software upgrades and migrations of configurations
Works with vendors to acquire new or updated laboratory instrument software and helps maintain license and software maintenance agreement information

LIMS Solutions Lead - M&E IT Minimum Requirements:

Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 15 years of relevant laboratory information systems experience; OR
- Bachelor's Degree* plus 10 years of relevant laboratory information systems experience; Information Technology, Computer Science or related degree preferred
5+ years' development and workflow configuration experience with Thermo Fisher SampleManager LIMS required; Version 21+ preferred
5+ years' programming experience with either C# or VGL
5+ years' experience configuring and supporting IT aspects of at least one of the following lab instrument software, including integration with LIMS: Agilent OpenLab, Metrohm Tiamo/OMNIS, or Mettler Toledo LabX
5+ years' experience developing or supporting MS SQL server
Experience with SampleManager LIMS / SAP interface (SM-IDI)
Strong knowledge of IT system servers, networks, and firewalls preferred
Proven problem solver with experience working in an enterprise setting with business and IT resources; Demonstrated self-starter with high learning agility and desire to build on existing knowledge base
Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
Must possess a valid US driver’s license. May be required to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) if working on site at certain Olin locations
