POSITION PURPOSE:
The WO-operator must oversee the safe and efficient operation per operating procedures and specifications or current work instructions for all equipment and processes in their assigned areas.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The WO-operator must be familiar with all MSDS sheets, safety procedures, environmental procedures, and operating procedures required to operate the assigned units. The WO-operator must be familiar with all environmental regulations per assigned training or procedures that apply to their areas of operation. The WO-operator must issue and be able to complete quick and decisive instructions, assist and/or direct other operators, and operate equipment to insure a safe and efficient
operation. The WO-operator must be able to check and complete the necessary shipping and receiving paperwork. The WO-operator must be able to read and understand procedures and permits, write operating logs, perform necessary math skills, and perform necessary computer skills to maintain unit operation. The Shipping WO-operator is responsible for the entire Shipping area.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be alert and able to follow several items at the same time. Must be able to read/write/understand safety regulations and understand the meaning of chemical health hazards. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, understand basic mathematics, pressure and temperatures relating to the operation of the assigned units. Must be able to work in accordance to the employee handbook, Company and Plant Policies
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Must complete and pass all required training as assigned by Lion Elastomers, LLC. Must be able to wear and use all required personal protective equipment including fire retardant clothing, hard hat, eye protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and hand protection per assigned area and plant procedures. Must know the location and be familiar with the operation of all safety equipment in the assigned areas. Must know and follow all safe operating procedures for the assigned areas. The WO-operator is responsible for the Operator in Charge (OIC) duties in area procedures and permits
EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS
Process equipment includes scales, forklifts, trucks, railcars, computers, sweepers, track mobiles, hand tools, and all other tools or equipment consistent with job factors or that may be requested by supervision.
