Lift Truck Operator| Monday- Thursday
Position Overview
This position is from 5pm-5a.m.
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To drive a lift truck with a squeeze attachment and move yarn and other material that is used internally or externally.
Essential Duties:
- Inspect and check out lift truck before operating
- Must be able to move material including yarn, carpet and supplies on and off of trailers and stack or locate in the warehouse without damaging materials or equipment
- Must be able to read manifest to verify incoming material from packing list
- Must be able to read picking list of outgoing material and keep tickets from outgoing material organized as its being loaded
- Must be able to identify yarn lots that’s staged for tufting and loading on correct creels
- Must be able to operate lift truck safely in congested areas
- Must keep equipment clean
- Must be able to read and understand task received from CV60 Computer
- Must able to scan case tickets and be able to use CV60 to do simple task in Warehouse
Non-Essential Duties:
- As directed by supervision attend periodic departmental meetings
- As directed by supervision to perform nonessential duties
- Must be willing to cross train for other types of lift trucks
