Purpose of Position:


Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking a Lift Truck Driver. The Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe operation of powered industrial lift trucks within the Distribution Center. This role supports key DC functions including receiving, shipping, order picking, inventory management, and product put-away, while maintaining compliance with safety standards, GMP, and engineered labor standards.


Accountabilities:

  • Unload inbound shipments and move product to designated warehouse areas.
  • Load trucks and/or rail cars using forklift per SOP, ensuring correct weights and placement.
  • Select orders for shipments using forklift, maintaining records for inventory control, food safety, and security. Maintain accurate stock records using Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Stack and store product in appropriate locations as directed by WMS. Maintain records of all products received using WMS.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and team members.
  • Keep work area clean, neat, and orderly.
  • Comply with OSHA regulations, GMP, and all applicable safety standards. Assist in maintaining warehouse security.


Minimum Skills Required:

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Prior experience operating powered industrial lift trucks
  • Experience in a distribution center or warehouse
  • Environment
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and math
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Powered industrial lift truck qualification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Compliance with OSHA, GMP, and safety standards
