Job Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Big Cedar Lodge Leisure Sales Manager will be a results-driven hospitality sales leader who can coach and develop a team of vacation sales agents to consistently convert inquiries into golf stay-and-play bookings, maximize revenue opportunities, and deliver an exceptional guest experience that reflects the Bass Pro Shops - Hospitality brand.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for Reservations, Vacation Planning, and Group Sales functions.
  • Manage daily departmental operations to ensure efficient workflows, service excellence, and achievement of performance goals.
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute operational and sales reports to support business decisions.
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules that align with service demands, labor standards, and budget objectives.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, team meetings, coaching sessions, and ongoing employee development activities.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all reservations, bookings, and guest records while maintaining established quality standards.
  • Resolve guest concerns and service issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor sales, booking trends, labor expenses, and departmental performance, implementing corrective actions as needed to achieve financial and operational goals.
  • Foster a highly engaged, knowledgeable, and guest-focused team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Reconcile daily sales and reservation activity, verify reporting accuracy, and manage administrative functions to support departmental success.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in hospitality, resort reservations, travel, or sales
  • 3+ years leading in a reservations, call center, or sales team
  • Proven track record of achieving revenue, conversion, and booking goals
  • Experience leading and coaching teams in sales performance, guest service excellence, and workforce management, including scheduling and staffing oversight.
  • Strong background in luxury resort, destination resort, golf resort, or vacation package sales environments with a focus on revenue growth and guest satisfaction.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Proficiency with resort reservation systems, CRM platforms, and selling accommodations, activities, and vacation experiences.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of resort reservations, vacation ownership, and package sales operations.
  • Understanding of luxury hospitality standards, guest experience management, and resort operations.
  • Knowledge of revenue management principles, sales performance metrics, and conversion optimization strategies.
  • Ability to analyze booking trends, forecast business needs, and identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate high-performing sales teams.
  • Proven ability to improve conversion rates, drive revenue, and achieve organizational goals.
  • Experience with workforce planning, staffing, performance management, and accountability practices.
  • Ability to interpret performance data and implement action plans that improve results.
  • Strong understanding of upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize guest value and revenue.
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, Golf Operations, and Resort Operations.
  • Strong guest-service orientation with the ability to balance sales objectives and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Skilled in quality assurance, operational excellence, and continuous process improvement.
  • Ability to make sound, data-driven business decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to train and develop team members to confidently promote resort accommodations, golf packages, dining, and ancillary resort experiences.

Regularly sits, stand, walks, and works on a computer.

Seldom/never lifts up to 50 lbs.
