POSITION OVERVIEW
Learning and Development Specialist II will be responsible for the creation, delivery, and administration of talent development programs and solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be consistently followed by other Talent Development Specialists to guide all activities that require consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create or source training programs to achieve business needs and meet customer objectives.
- Create new training content that satisfies terminal and enabling training objectives. This includes standalone presentations, multi-media packages, and computer-based training (CBT) SCORM packages that need to integrate with our Learning Management System (LMS).
- Work collaboratively with Marketing to promote training programs internally.
- Independently manage internal relationships by completing projects, resolving project obstacles, completing all deliverables on or before deadline, providing consistent communication on project status, supervising project deployment and modifying programs to reconcile participant feedback.
- Maintain and audit Learning Management System employee records to ensure compliance in all audit categories. Perform technical and administrative support using Workday LMS.
- Own, manage and track higher education career pathways programs and coordinate employee activity with internal leadership.
- Apply for State and Federal funding of ongoing talent development initiatives.
- Own, manage and continuously improve all Gentex leadership development programs.
- Analyze participant feedback and behaviors to evaluate learning programs for desired
outcomes. Utilize feedback to initiate program changes, refinements, and improvements. Provide
post-training follow-up and learner support as needed. - Pursue continuous improvement for the department by benchmarking and engaging with the global Learning & Development(L&D) community.
- Manage and deliver orientation processes for all salaried, international hires in coordination with local manager(s).
- Provide instructor-led facilitation of all training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Instructional Design or a related field.
- 3+ years of demonstrated professional experience in human resources, business administration, public speaking or training/development role.
- Experience with Workday Learning Management System.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
WHAT WILL HELP
- Professional Training certification and experience.
- Experience learning and working with new software platforms.
- Familiarity with ADDIE model for instructional design.
- Experience working as a mentor and/or leader.
