About the role:

In this role, you will lead and drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and the Alcoa Business System (ABS) to optimize production processes, improve quality and efficiency, and eliminate waste.

You’ll play a key role in identifying and removing operational bottlenecks, enabling stronger performance through structured problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration. This is a high-impact position where your ideas and leadership will directly influence plant performance and culture.

Lean & ABS Deployment

  • Lead and implement Lean and Alcoa Business System (ABS) initiatives using PDCA and DMAIC frameworks to drive sustainable operational improvements.

Process Mapping & Optimization

  • Develop process flow and value stream maps to identify waste, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across key manufacturing processes.

Cost Reduction & Performance Improvement

  • Deliver continuous improvement projects aligned with Plant cost‑saving, productivity, and efficiency targets.

Daily & Visual Management Systems

  • Implement and sustain visual management standards and Daily Management Systems, including shift handovers, toolbox meetings, and performance reviews.

Problem Solving & Data‑Driven Decisions

  • Lead structured problem‑solving activities using Lean tools, supported by data analysis, performance metrics, and KPI tracking.

Cross‑Functional Project Leadership

  • Lead cross‑functional improvement projects from concept to implementation, ensuring stakeholder alignment and benefit realization.

Capability Building & CI Culture

  • Coach and develop employees and leaders on Lean/ABS tools, daily management practices, and change management to foster a strong continuous improvement culture.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required - Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing Engineer or similar preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years Lean/Continuous Improvement work experience in an industrial setting.
  • In depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (Six Sigma Green Belt preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, etc.) with the ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and structured thinking skills, with a results-driven mindset.
  • High energy, proactive approach, and a passion for driving change and building a continuous improvement culture.
