As the Leadperson II, you will assist the Supervisor in coordinating daily operational functions within your department, ensuring both safety and quality remain top priorities. Working with the department Supervisor, you will help ensure that safety, quality, and pace metrics are met or exceeded. You’ll take on a leadership role that aligns with Watts’ Code of Conduct, Mission, Vision, and Values, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and mutual respect.
You Will:
Maintain a safe work environment for all associates by adhering to safety rules, promptly addressing safety concerns, and reporting any job-related injuries or illnesses.
Program, set up, and configure CNC machines to meet department requirements.
Demonstrate leadership by modeling the Watts Code of Conduct, encouraging continuous improvement, and promoting mutual respect among team members.
Ensure team adherence to quality standards by overseeing in-process inspections, documenting data, and maintaining records for process control.
Coordinate labor and equipment activities as directed by the Supervisor to meet pace requirements while upholding safety, quality, and standard operating procedures.
Identify and address process issues promptly, escalating any concerns to the Supervisor or Manager as needed.
Assess training needs, providing guidance and development support for team members in collaboration with the Supervisor.
Uphold environmental and safety standards through regular housekeeping within the department.
You Have:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Commitment to wearing required PPE and adhering to safety rules.
Proven leadership skills with an ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Understanding of confidentiality standards.
Basic computer literacy, strong communication skills, and solid math abilities.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
A foundational understanding of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement practices.
