Job Overview:

Position Summary

The Cybersecurity Analyst will be technically responsible for maintaining the stability and integrity of Carolina's cybersecurity products and services.  They will be the initial point of contact involving all cybersecurity related issues and alerts.   They will provide technical guidance to other cybersecurity and information services staff.  The Cybersecurity Analyst will participate with recommendations on all new purchases as well as future direction with cybersecurity technology.  The Cybersecurity Analyst will support all other Information Services technical areas and will be involved in support issues as they are escalated.  This is a specialized role that requires various technical skills and experience. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Functions as cybersecurity expert for Carolina.
  • Manges Carolina's cybersecurity equipment and software.
  • Learn Active Directory as it relates to users, groups, and policies.
  • Along with the other Systems Administrators, manage security on endpoints (desktops/laptops).
  • Advise in Storage Networks to include replication, data security, and disaster recovery.
  • Ensure security and networking devices have power protection.
  • Perform all backup and recovery tasks as they relate to the cybersecurity environments.
  • Support Carolina's help desk by managing assigned caseload and offering technical support where needed.
  • Maintain technical expertise by keeping abreast of the latest technology advances and suggest avenues to maintain technical skills.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
  • Perform project related duties.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Secondary support of Carolina's networking infrastructure. 
  • Advise in Carolina email systems as it pertains to cybersecurity.

Position Requirements:

Education: 4-year degree in Information Services or related field required. 

Experience: 5+ years of experience with cybersecurity hardware and software in a mid to large size corporation. 

Specialized Training: Skilled and formally trained with Cisco cybersecurity devices and software is desired. Skilled and trained in Microsoft operating systems and server/desktop software as it relates to cybersecurity. Extensive experience in working on cross-functional IS teams.
