Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management

Our Sourcing Team provides support for regional and global projects. We engage and collaborate with regional and global sourcing and procurement teams. India Machining Spend has seen multi-fold spend growth since last 4 years.

As a Lead Sourcing Specialist - Commodity Management, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing and/or leading category strategy, spend analysis and sourcing pipeline development.
• Achieving cost savings through execution of category and supplier strategies, execution of strategic sourcing methodologies, utilization of market data, supplier and category spend information and supplier optimization.
• Managing end-to-end RFQ process, lead commercial negotiations and/or bids to deliver value and risk mitigation
• Drive Sourcing Projects, along with Supplier Quality teams; timely updates to stakeholders.
• Advising other Functions regarding approaches, processes, and procedures in the own field.
• Owning and building relationships with strategic suppliers and other partners as needed to advance business requirements and achieve internal customer satisfaction.
• Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about approach and methods for solving complex problems.
• Leading medium sized projects or is a major contributor to bigger projects. Work goals typically take 3-6 months to complete and the time horizon for results/impact is typically 2-12 months after the event.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED) with at least 10~12 years of experience in Sourcing and or Category Management.
• Have a technical domain knowledge.
• Have an expertise in managing Mechanical Systems/Machining categories.
• Have a strong communication, interpersonal and proven leadership skills.
• Have an ability to influence others. Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
• Project Management Skills. Have an ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously. Effective problem identification and solution skills.
• Have an experience in Supplier Relations management; Proven analytical skills and organizational ability.
