Job Overview:


OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE

The Lead Project Manager is responsible for managing the complete life cycle of IS and business projects.  The Lead Project Manager is responsible for general knowledge of business processes throughout the company.  This role is vital as they are the conduit between business users and IS development and technical skills.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Lead and manage multiple assigned projects.
  • Manage projects from submission to post implementation support.
  • Lead project group from beginning to end of project completion.
  • Perform business process analysis.
  • Perform data analysis and reporting.
  • Conduct quality assurance aside of managed projects.
  • Develop and conduct training aside of managed projects.
  • Analyze and resolve project issues.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Minimizes our risk and exposure on the project.
  • Effectively applies our project methodology and enforces project standards.
  • Identifies resources needed for assigned projects and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education: Four-year college degree is required. Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: 3+ years’ experience as a JD Edwards business analyst.  18+ years’ experience as a general business analyst in an ERP environment or 18+ years of other technical Information Services or related business experience. PMP certification is required.  Other technical certifications such as ITIL, APICS, or industry specific are preferred.

Specialized Training/Skills:  Skilled and formally trained with at least two or more JD Edwards modules or other relevant Carolina Software.  Demonstrated multi-project management skills are required in a matrix management environment.  Demonstrated technical research and strategic thinking skills are required.

  • Lead multiple projects from requirement gathering and planning through project execution and closure.
  • Possess integrity and professional attitude and conduct to help set the standard and influence others to the same.
  • Demonstrate success leading various types of project including business process improvement; web development; ERP development; and hardware procurement and installation.
  • Possess a working knowledge of any of the various project methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, Prince2, Kanban, Scrum, or others.
