Description
As a Lead Operator in Color Chemistry, you will provide training and guidance to a team of fellow operators and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production process. Your attention to detail and leadership skills will be essential as you review the quality of your team's output and align staffing needs to meet production targets. Working closely with the production team, you will prioritize workload, make necessary adjustments to achieve the perfect color and quality, and ensure adherence to engineering requirements during manufacturing. Your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, working both efficiently and effectively, will be instrumental to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
-Lead a team of operators, overseeing their work and ensuring the quality of output meets company standards.
-Operate machines to color fabrics according to specifications, ensuring correct formulas and processes are followed.
-Monitor and facilitate product development trials throughout the facility.
-Maintain accurate records of formulas and production logs, ensuring all documentation is completed correctly and on time.
-Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
-Collaborate with planning, production, laboratory, customer service, and shipping departments to ensure seamless communication of material and product development information.
Requirements
-High School diploma or equivalent.
-Previous supervisory experience in a textile process and/or manufacturing setting required.
-Ability to read, write, and understand English for interpreting setup sheets and SOPs.
-Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.
-Excellent organizational skills.
-Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
-Ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
