Duties & Responsibilities

- Works safely and adheres to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures

- Possesses advanced knowledge of Production Operations and all associated equipment

- Maintains all company provided tools and equipment (cell phone, vehicle, computer, etc.)

- Performs routine preventive maintenance on rotating equipment (PM's, calibrations, etc.)

- Demonstrates efficient computer skills; data entry into various electronic databases

- Mentor to PM Mechanic (where applicable) and Mechanic I

- Diagnose / troubleshoot and repair complex issues associated with any rotating equipment

- Supervise contractor services with Production Foreman approval

- Conduct regulatory (state, federal, and local) testing and reporting as directed by Foreman

- Repairs complex problems without supervision (major overhaul, main line units, etc.)

- Diagnose problems and perform mechanical repair and maintenance to stationary production machinery and to heavy equipment machinery

- Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs using diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices

- Perform all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations

- Schedule maintenance for industrial machines and equipment, and keep equipment service records (with Foreman approval)

- Develop and maintain operating / maintenance manuals and procedures

- Create work orders on repairs and services providing legible and accurate information

- Input daily repair information in maintenance database

- Perform other various tasks as assigned by the Foreman

- Ability to work with a diverse team to achieve production and cost targets

- Has proficient computer skills with various electronic databases

- Maintains good housekeeping in all areas of responsibility

- Possess a working knowledge of process equipment, separation, flow, etc.

- Demonstrate vast mechanical knowledge of all aspects of industry craft

Education & Qualifications

- Experienced compression mechanic required 

- 10 years of experience preferred  

- Possess a valid driver’s license, CDL a plus (may be required in some locations)

- Legally authorized to work in the United States

- Able to pass a pre-employment drug and background check

- Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited, state-certified program

- Certifications from trade schools and/or professional organizations are preferred

- Must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and participate in an on-call rotation

- Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities preferred

- Capable of lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs

- Capable of vigorous outdoor activities and have manual dexterity with physical ability to work extended hours, climbing, bending, kneeling, squatting, working with arms extended above the head, twisting upper body, standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions, driving a vehicle, operation of forklifts and light industrial equipment
