The Lead Maintenance Technicianwill perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. Duties may involve plumbing; insulating; welding; machining; carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing, aligning and balancing new equipment; and repairing buildings, floors or stairs. Direct maintenance employees to perform daily duties, tasks and responsibilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Train or manage maintenance personnel or subcontractors.
- Inspect and test machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Order parts, supplies or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
- Dismantle machines or equipment to access and remove defective parts using necessary tools.
- Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors or belts; checking fluid levels; replacing filters or doing other preventive maintenance tasks.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them using blueprints, repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary.
- Plan and lay out repair work – using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals or schematic diagrams.
- Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery or equipment.
- Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions or other structures.
- Provide groundskeeping services, such as landscaping or snow removal.
- Perform general cleaning duties of buildings or properties.
- Follow and support all policies, procedures, goals and objectives of Avalign Cutting Instruments (ACI).
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years Maintenance experience
- High school diploma required – Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Basic computer knowledge – Email, Excel, Word, etc.
- Physical ability to lift 40 lbs.
- Strong work ethic and dependable.
- Ability to work well under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Self-motivated and the capacity to take direction.
- Organized, detail oriented, quality-minded attitude and determination to be “Best in Class”.
- Willing to lead by example and learn ACI processes and procedures.
