Lead Machinist (CNC & Manul)

Allways Precision has an excellent career opportunity for a for a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Machinist to join our talented growing team.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate will be a complete and solid machinist, have a high mechanical aptitude, and have managerial experience. CNC programming, CAM, CAD, and tooling set-up skills are paramount for this position. The ability to keep multiple machines continually active utilizing a team atmosphere. Understand the principles of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Be able to problem solve, work effectively, and positively with engineering support. Be honest, have passion for the position, and train others to build a strong team. This is a working lead position and cross cell collaboration is extremely important

Capability to hold tight tolerances milling to .0005, surface grinding to 0.0002.
Good communication skills: writing procedures and documenting set-ups.
Manage a team of machinists, organize workflow for the department.
Work with Operations to grow departmental skill set and equipment.
Collaborate with Engineering on new part/segment designs.
Ability to design, develop, and make fixtures for continuous improvements.
The ability to perform mechanical assembly of machine segments with close fit tolerances.
