Inventory Specialist

Location: Marietta, GA

Pay: $22 per hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Weekends are rarely required.

Position Summary

The Inventory Specialist is responsible for inventory movement and inventory accuracy. This position supports warehouse operations by managing inventory, maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving products, performing cycle counts, and ensuring inventory is properly stored and transferred throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have strong inventory experience, computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Actively manage and maintain physical inventory and cycle counts, researching discrepancies and making required adjustments.
• Make recommendations for inventory procedure improvements.
• Monitor and maintain replenishment inventory levels accurately and in a timely manner.
• Set up new product locations based on upcoming purchase order receipts.
• Perform eyewear frame take-apart adjustments in the system.
• Schedule and perform inter-site transfers of eyewear cases.
• Transfer and physically move closeout eyewear and cases within the inventory system.
• Maintain warranty products.
• Receive products from purchase orders.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Learn and assist with other duties as needed.

Communication

• Communicate effectively with members of the operations team.

Qualifications

Required

• 3+ years of similar inventory management experience in a warehouse environment.
• Computer skills and experience using RF scanning software.
• Strong typing and Microsoft Word skills.
• Microsoft Excel experience is a plus.
• Positive, can-do attitude with the ability to multitask.
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends when needed.
• Ability to stand for 6–8 hours per day while opening cartons, counting inventory, and stocking storage locations.
• Willingness to work in a climate-controlled warehouse.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 6–8 hours per day.
• Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for 2–3 hours per day as needed.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
