Description

Leads injection mold techs, operators, and production techs and lends advanced knowledge and Click Bond Inc. parts to develop protocols and standards for production personnel. Competent in all related areas and can troubleshoot issues for the team to ensure all products produced and processes are compliant with all safety and company procedures to meet quality and production standards in a team environment, as well as individually.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Directs team to focus production efforts based upon management, work orders, and materials.
  • Mentors team members on processes and best practices.
  • Provides training to all employees regarding the injection molding processes and applications.
  • • Identifies areas of improvement and applies lean manufacturing tactics to assist in quality and on-time delivery.
  • • Makes recommendation regarding process improvements with a prominent level of understanding regarding injection molding theory and application.
  • Accountable for all aspects of the injection molding process, including but not limited to, set-up and tear-down, troubleshooting, minor equipment maintenance and workflow in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be an initiative-taker and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Must have excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Skilled at using basic computer skills to complete Work Order requirements and Verify Count Operations.
  • Applies knowledge of general safety and organization (6S), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and Foreign Object Displacement (FOD) requirements.
  • Skilled at accurately and clearly completing all required documentation.
  • Skilled at using Lean work practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality and Environment Management System (QEMS).
  • Can correctly select and accurately use measuring and assembly tools.
  • Must be able to perform duties from recall, written instructions, and visual aids.
  • Is a role model in company policy compliance and work performance.
  • Must have a good command of the English language relative to the work responsibilities, both written and verbal.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 7+ Years of direct injection molding experience.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Certifications in manufacturing such as Manufacturing Technician (MT1), or an AA degree (or equivalent) preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Paulson Training Certification or equivalent required
  • Certification as a Certified Manufacturing Inspector (CMI).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively communicate with employees and develop an environment of transparency, fairness, and consistency.
  • Provide training and expertise to the production team.
  • Provide input for team member performance evaluations.
  • Stand in as acting supervisor when team supervisor is out of office and submit all necessary paperwork that may be needed.

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
  • Use of hand/fingers continuously through shift to manipulate components, tools, etc.
  • Regularly required to sit or stand for the length of shift, bend, and reach.
