Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
Include:
- Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Preparing weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
Job brief:
- Coordinate maintenance worker efforts to make sure employer property like buildings and grounds are kept up
- Identify areas for improvement and assign workers to take care of issues
- Develop maintenance schedules and enforce them among maintenance staff
- Respond to emergency calls for maintenance
- Manage the set up and take down of different events
- Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues
- Communicate plans for upper level improvements to maintenance worker staff
- Contact and schedule repairmen and extra help as needed
- Perform administrative tasks as required
- Delegate tasks to meet maintenance schedule and satisfy employer needs
Responsibilities:
- Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
- Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
- Assist tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, plumbers etc.)
- Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
- Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
- Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
- Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations)
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
Requirements:
* MUST Have Steel Processing Experience.
*Ability to troubleshoot. Knowledge of structure or grounds to be maintained.
* Knowledge of maintenance procedures.
* Knowledge of systems to be maintained (e.g. Electrical, roofing, pool).
*Ability to lift heavy loads, physical agility, manual dexterity. Management experience is preferred, Experience in maintenance is required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5+ year’s relevant experience in maintenance
- Extensive knowledge in a variety of mechanical systems
- Previous managerial experience highly preferred
- Experience managing multiple vendors
- Ability to consistently maintain positive client relationships
- Can effectively and efficiently handle both administrative and mechanical responsibilities
- Makes safety a priority at all times
- Strong computer skills and a solid understanding of data analysis software'
