Job Objective:

The Lead Industrial Engineer is a leading performer that serves as a subject matter expert to facilitate and support capital improvement and maintenance projects within the Engineering function by utilizing strong knowledge of industry practices and standards. This role participates in cross-functional project teams and may lead projects to meet business challenges in the areas of operating budgets, project measurements and control for capability, efficiency, quality, timelines, and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Position:

· Utilize advanced expertise to develop, assess, and implement techniques and equipment of simple to moderate complexity within production processes, focusing on maximizing operational efficiency.

· Plan and design systems that enhance productivity by optimizing the integration of people, materials, systems, equipment, and finance, leveraging specialized knowledge in industrial engineering.

· Provide expert recommendations on more efficient and safer manufacturing processes, utilizing new, existing, or modified machinery, equipment, or systems under the guidance of senior engineering staff.

· Implement changes to work methods, materials, machinery, manpower allocation, and safety measures for projects of simple to moderate complexity, ensuring adherence to company-approved standards.

· Oversee work standards, schedules, procedures, and performance standards to improve efficiency and cost reductions, reviewing standards with senior engineering staff before implementation.

· Analyze and recommend changes to work operations to reduce noise, pollution, toxic chemicals, etc., under the direction of senior engineering staff.

· Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance and other reporting systems output, leveraging specialized knowledge and experience.

· Participate in cross-functional projects or meetings as required, providing expert input under the direction of senior engineering staff.

· Perform high quality analysis consistently, utilizing advanced analytical skills to drive informed decision-making.

· Champion innovative ideas and apply them effectively to enhance business results, leveraging deep expertise in industrial engineering.

· Monitor and/or lead after-action reviews to identify, document, and share lessons learned, utilizing specialized knowledge and experience to drive continuous improvement.

· Collaborate cross-functionally to evaluate technical, system, and process improvements, providing expert input and guidance.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Required Experience and Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

· 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Six-Sigma and/or Lean certifications are desirable.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred.

· Temporary indirect reporting relationships may exist while working as Project lead. May be required to act in senior role, providing task related advise and direction to junior team members.

· Must be able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.

· Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.

· Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled facilities.

· The work environment may be a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.

· May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.

· The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day.

· The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
