Job Overview:


The Lead Generation Specialist will play a critical role in driving business growth by identifying, vetting, and managing quality leads to pursue. This position requires a proactive individual who excels in market research, data management, and strategy development. The specialist will maintain a comprehensive database of existing and prospective customers, oversee trade show strategy, and identify opportunities for R&D projects. Additionally, this role includes managing systems integration and ensuring the organization’s lead generation processes are efficient and effective.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Market Research and Lead Identification:

  • Conduct detailed market research to identify prospective end users, customers, and market opportunities.
  • Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to guide lead-generation strategies.
  • Vet potential leads to ensure alignment with company objectives and quality standards.

Database Management and Reporting:

  • Develop and maintain a central repository of leads, existing customers, market data, and other relevant information.
  • Ensure data accuracy and completeness through regular audits and updates.
  • Track and report on all lead generation activities, including performance metrics and conversion rates.

Trade Show Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive trade show strategy, including the selection of shows, target contacts, and end-user engagement plans.
  • Coordinate logistics, booth setup, and follow-up activities for trade shows and industry events.
  • Capture and analyze leads generated from trade shows to measure success and inform future strategies.

R&D Project Identification:

  • Identify potential research and development (R&D) projects related to customer needs, market trends, and end-user feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to assess feasibility and prioritize opportunities.

Systems Management and Integration:

  • Oversee the management and integration of lead generation systems, including CRM platforms and other tools.
  • Work with IT and other departments to ensure seamless system functionality and data flow.
  • Train team members on lead generation systems and processes as needed.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product development teams to align lead generation efforts with overall business goals.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to lead activities, trade shows, and market data.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

•    Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field; or equivalent experience.

•    2-4 years of experience in lead generation, market research, or sales support.

•    Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce, HubSpot) and lead generation tools.

•    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

•    Excellent communication and organizational skills.

•    Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

•    Experience in a manufacturing or technical industry.

•    Familiarity with trade show planning and execution.

•    Knowledge of market research methodologies and tools.
