Job Overview:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out electronics design under the guidance of senior members of the design team.
  • Keep following roadmaps for active and passive components like drivers, TIAs, ICs, capacitors and resistors from internal and external vendors.
  • Follow state of art PCB materials and manufacturing capabilities with respect to higher performance and optimal cost for high-speed transceiver applications.
  • Use PADS PCB software to generate schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Bring up and troubleshoot circuit boards to ensure proper functionality.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, optical, and testing team members on assembly automation projects.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of designs, processes, and test results.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve overall design quality.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of testing procedures for electronic components.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in electronics design.

Education & Experience

  • MS or Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering or related technical fields.
  • 3-5 years of related experience is preferred. 

Skills

  • Solid foundation in analog and digital circuit design.
  • Understanding of PCB design rules and familiarity with PADS software or similar design tools. 
  • Knowledge of active and passive electrical components.
  • Ability to work with little supervision and manage assigned tasks effectively. 
  • Identify, select, and implement new development, component, manufacturing and/or testing technologies to develop innovative solutions for high-speed optical packages.

Working Conditions

  • This position is Onsite
  • May require occasional off-site meetings
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment is necessary
  • Interaction with team members and external contacts is a regular part of the job
  • May require occasional overtime and flexibility in work hours to accommodate the executive’s needs

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or conducting meetings.
  • Use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 20 pounds for administrative tasks.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings or interact with colleagues.
