Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of diesel mechanics in daily operations.
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  • Train and mentor junior mechanics, providing guidance and support.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with management to prioritize repairs and maintenance schedules.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of parts and supplies.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in diesel mechanics preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel mechanics, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.- Ability to obtain CDL
