The Value Stream Lead - Machining is responsible for leading daily activities within the machining value stream to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role serves as the primary shop floor leader for CNC and manual machining operations, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to machinists and machine operators while ensuring production goals, quality standards, and delivery commitments are achieved.
The Value Stream Lead works closely with the Value Stream Supervisor and cross-functional teams to eliminate bottlenecks, resolve production issues, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality system requirements. This individual leads by example, promotes accountability, and helps develop a highly skilled and engaged machining team.

Assist operators and machining techs with resolving machining, tooling, setup, and production issues.
Support optimization of machine utilization, setup reduction, and process flow.
Help ensure proper application of machining processes and best practices throughout the value stream.
Actively participate in improvement projects. Learn new procedures and train others as required.
Lead by example - following agreed upon procedures, maintaining good attendance and complying to all safety and quality guidelines.
