Position Summary: The Production Lead is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations on the production floor while supporting the Production Supervisor in achieving production, quality, and operational goals. This position serves as the primary shop floor leader by coordinating workflow, assisting with employee training, maintaining quality standards, monitoring production performance, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. 

Requirements

Key Responsibilities (80% of Role)

Expert Build Out: Assemble economizer units according to drawings and assembly standards with speed and precision.

Workflow Optimization: Maintain steady production output, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks before they impact the schedule. 

Technical Execution: Handle the most complex assembly tasks and provide hands-on support where its needed most to meet requirements. 

Technical Leadership (20% of Role)

Peer Training: Serve as the primary technical contact on the floor. Coach and mentor technicians on techniques, work instructions, and quality standards. 

Coordinate Flow: Partner with the supervisor to assign tasks based on priorities and ensure team members have the tools and parts they need.

Quality Champion: Monitor product quality in real-time. Identify and correct recurring defects or process inconsistencies to reduce rework. 

Operational Bridge: Act as the main point of contact for technical questions when management is unavailable, ensuring the line continues to run smoothly and safely.
