Located in Cerritos, CA, the operation is taking the creation of products to the next level through engineering innovation. For nearly 30 years, their state-of-the-art technology serves premier technology companies around the globe. An elite team of about 100 employees work on a variety of machines including mills, lathes, mill turn, and grinders to manufacture precision equipment for their customers. With new machines recently installed, and more on the way, they are dedicated to keeping up with the latest, state-of-the-art technology.
This is an opportunity to leverage your current lathe experience to influence business operations. You will help coach and mentor other machinists while staying hands on machines performnig setup and operation in addition to coordinating and executing department funtions.
This is a 1st shift position 6 AM - 2:30 PM on Monday- Friday. The goal is to maintain a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities:
Schedule jobs/machines
Ensure safety standards are met
Coach current and future machinists
Design tooling and fixtures
Ensure work completion and on time delivery
Set up and operate CNC lathes and/or grinders
Program lathe machines at the machine and on Esprit as needed
Edit programs at the machine
Perform first article and in process inspections
Qualifications:
Experience setting up and operating lathes
Experience programming CNC lathe (Esprit preferred)
Knowledge of Mori Seiki and or DMG lathes is a great plus
Ability to edit programs at the machine
Understanding of blueprints, drawings, and models
Knowledge of inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges etc.
