Seeking

an

experienced

CNC

Lathe

Setup

Machinist

who

can

independently

handle

complete

machine

setups,

operate

and

edit

CNC

programs,

and

produce

precision-machined

parts.

The

ideal

candidate

will

have

strong

blueprint

reading

and

GD&T

knowledge,

experience

with

tooling,

offsets,

and

first-piece

inspections,

and

the

ability

to

troubleshoot

machining

issues

independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform complete CNC lathe setups, including tooling, offsets, and first-piece inspections.

• Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T.

• Write, edit, and troubleshoot G-code at the machine control.

• Select tooling, prepare chuck jaws, and determine proper workholding.

• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision instruments.

• Troubleshoot machining issues involving tolerances, chatter, and surface finish.

Required Experience:

• Strong CNC lathe setup experience (not just machine operation).

• Ability to independently complete setups from start to finish.

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Okuma, or Mazak controls.

• Experience with Mori Seiki, YCM, and/or Okuma machines preferred.

• Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

• Background check required. Drug testing is not conducted upfront but may be requested if necessary.

• Two-step interview process, including an in-person interview/assessment and a hands-on setup evaluation in Hopedale, MA.
