Job Overview:

CNC Lathe Programmer / Manufacturing Analyst

1st Shift | Flexible start between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. (8-hour shifts)

Salary: $80,000 – $95,000

The Opportunity

We're hiring a CNC Lathe Programmer / Manufacturing Analyst to develop and implement advanced manufacturing solutions for precision aerospace components using state-of-the-art CNC equipment and software.

This is a programming-focused role for someone who lives on the lathe side — mill-turn and 2-axis work, tight-tolerance parts, tough alloys.

What You'll Do

  • Create and optimize NC programs in Siemens NX for complex machining operations on mill-turn machines, 2-axis lathes, and other CNC lathes and mills as required
  • Validate NC programs virtually through machine simulation
  • Perform on-machine program validation and optimization
  • Collaborate with design engineers to improve part designs for manufacturability
  • Participate in equipment installation, runoff, and production startup
  • Create process-related work instruction documentation
  • Other job-related duties as required

What You Need

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of NC programming experience using CAM software, with the majority on lathes (some mill programming is fine, but lathe programming is the core of this job)
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software with a solid understanding of CAD principles and GD&T
  • Fundamental understanding of machining work holding strategy, cutting tool selection, and gaging selection
  • Experience creating process-related work instruction documentation
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • U.S. Citizenship required — this position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed. Selected candidates may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice to Have

  • CNC grinding experience
  • Experience with aerospace alloys and hardened steel alloys
  • Hands-on machining experience

You should be proficient in:

  • CNC Programming
  • lathes
  • siemans
  • grinders
