Description
The Laser Welder reports to the Team Leader and operates a manual laser welder to fabricate and weld sheet metal parts for premium commercial foodservice equipment. This position is responsible for producing high-quality cosmetic welds on customer-visible surfaces while working safely, accurately, and efficiently. No conventional welding experience is required.
- Operate manual laser welding equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Read and interpret bills of material, work instructions, and production documentation
- Use fixtures, measuring tools, and other equipment to fabricate sheet metal parts to specification
- Produce cosmetic welds on customer-visible surfaces that meet quality standards
- Inspect finished parts to verify weld quality, fit, and appearance
- Maintain productivity while minimizing scrap and rework
- Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Work with team members and leaders to meet daily production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Willing to work in other areas of production if needed to meet customer demand
Requirements
- 19.High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to read bills of material and follow work instructions
- Ability to use fixtures and basic measurement tools
- Ability to learn proper setup and operation of manual laser welding equipment
- Must demonstrate safe work habits and proper use of equipment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- No conventional welding experience needed
