Fabricator 1

A Fabricator 1 is responsible for assisting in the fabrication of components used in the production of HVAC systems. Fabricator 1’s will get hands-on experience in fabrication techniques such as Laser Table operation and processes while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position will work under the guidance and supervision of experienced fabricators and supervisors to ensure timely and accurate production of high-quality components that meet company standards.

Job Duties:

· Learns and champions all safety procedures.

· Learns to maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.

· Participates actively in training programs to develop fabrication skills.

· Demonstrates willingness to learn and grow within the role.

· Collaborates with team members to ensure efficient workflow.

· Assists in the development and improvement of the fabrication process.

· Takes initiative to problem solve.

· Operates machines according to proper procedures to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication of components under supervision.

· Follows quality standards to ensure the production of high-quality components.

· Learns to read engineering tape and fabrication tolerances to 1/32nd of an inch.

· Learns to operate shear, log information, and quality checking product.

· Learns to read and understand gauges and types of materials.

· All other duties assigned.

Requirements

• MUST be able to read a tape measure
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Able to read and understand prints
• Prior machine operator experience preferred
• Ability to problem solve and come up with solutions
• Self-motivated, positive, and timely
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and repetitively lift up to 25lb
• Stand for 8+ hours
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
